Eligibility
Participants must be currently enrolled in an engineering program in India.

Eligible programs include:

B.E / B.Tech

Integrated / Dual Degree (Engineering)

Students from any engineering department and year of study are eligible.

Cross-department teams are permitted.

Each participant may be a member of only one team.

Participants must produce a valid college ID card upon request at any stage for verification.

Any violation of eligibility criteria will result in immediate disqualification.

Team Formation
Each team must consist of 4 to 5 members.

Cross-department teams are allowed.

No changes in team composition will be permitted after registration.

Teams shortlisted for the on-campus round must participate with the same registered members.

Round 1 – Idea Submission (Online)

Ideas will be evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, relevance to the theme, and clarity of presentation.

Shortlisted teams will be invited to participate in the on-campus hackathon.

Round 2 – On-Campus Hackathon
Dates: 4th and 5th February 2026
Venue: Sri Eshwar College of Engineering

Participation Details:

Only teams shortlisted from Round 1 are eligible to participate.

Each shortlisted participant must pay an on-campus participation fee of ₹350.

Food and beverages will be provided to all participants.

Accommodation will be provided to all shortlisted participants for the duration of the hackathon (3rd and 4th February 2026).

Accommodation allocation will be at the discretion of the organizing committee, and participants must adhere to all accommodation rules and regulations.

Reporting and Conduct
Participants must report at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Late entries will not be permitted.

Participants may leave the venue only with explicit permission from the organizing committee.

All instructions issued by the organizing committee must be strictly followed throughout the event.

Development Rules
All development must take place strictly at the venue during the hackathon.

Pre-developed or partially developed projects are strictly prohibited.

Use of pre-written code, previously created GitHub repositories, or reused modules is not allowed.

Open-source libraries, frameworks, and APIs may be used unless explicitly restricted.

Participants must bring their own laptops, chargers, and required peripherals.

Internet and AI Usage Policy
Internet access is permitted only for:

Any unrelated use, including streaming, gaming, or non-event browsing, may result in disqualification.

CTF Quest: Decode, Hack, Innovate!

Join the Capture the Flag (CTF) hackathon! A thrilling challenge for young minds to test their cyber security skills, solve puzzles, and crack security vulnerabilities in a fun and competitive environment.

CTFQuest is a multi-round CTF designed to test participant’s skills in ethical hacking, problem-solving, and cyber-defense techniques.

  • The competition consists of three rounds with increasing difficulty.
  • Each team must consist of exactly 2 members.
  • Cross-department teams are allowed.
  • Participants must register with accurate details; fake or duplicate entries lead to disqualification.
  • Round 1 is held online for 24 hours in Jeopardy format & focuses on Basic Web, OSINT, Cryptography, Steganography, and Linux/Forensic. Based on results teams are shortlisted for round 2.
  • Round 2 is also conducted online for 24 hours. Includes Advanced Web, Forensics, Binary Exploitation, and Reverse Engineering. Dynamic scoring used in Round 2.
  • Round 3 is an 8-hour offline final round conducted on campus and follows the Jeopardy format.
  • For Round 3, all team members must be physically present.
  • Participants must not attack the event infrastructure or platforms.
  • Brute-force attacks are prohibited unless a challenge explicitly requires it.
  • Sharing flags, answers, hints, or solutions with other teams is not allowed.
  • The standard flag format for the event is: SECE{…}
  • External tools and open-source utilities are allowed unless restricted in a specific challenge.
  • Each challenge carries a predefined score.
  • Dynamic scoring will be applied.
  • Tie-breakers are based on fastest solve time, high-value solves and first-blood count.
  • Participants will receive challenge access details upon registration.
  • Teams must ensure a stable internet connection for online rounds.
  • Technical or access issues must be reported immediately to coordinators.
  • The event is open to students from all Engineering departments.
  • A valid institutional ID is required for participation.
  • Participants must follow institutional rules and code of conduct.
  • Allowed activities include using Linux tools, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Ghidra, and writing custom scripts.
  • Restricted activities include attacking organizers or judges, creating multiple accounts, plagiarism, and harassment.
  • Unauthorized attacks, solution sharing, misconduct, and scoreboard manipulation result in disqualification.
  • Communication will be maintained through an official WhatsApp/Discord group.
  • Queries must be directed only to event coordinators.

EVATHON – Detailed Guidelines

  1. Event Overview

EVathon is an Electric Vehicle–focused innovation hackathon aimed at promoting advancements in EV technology, smart mobility, sustainable energy, and future mobility systems.

Participants will build innovative prototypes, simulations, or models aligned with EV technology domains such as Battery Systems, Charging Infrastructure, Smart Mobility, IoT in EVs, Autonomous Features, Renewable Energy Integration, and Green Technology.

  1. Eligibility
  • Open to UG (Engineering) students only.
  • Team size: 6 members.
  • Each team must nominate one Team Leader for communication.
  1. General Participation Guidelines
  • Projects must be aligned with Electric Vehicle technology themes.
  • Solutions may include hardware prototypes, simulation models, software applications, IoT systems, analytical dashboards, or hybrid solutions.
  • Solutions must align with at least ONE broad EV domain:
    • Battery & Energy Management
    • Charging Infrastructure
    • Connected & Autonomous EVs
    • Smart EV Mobility Systems
    • Sustainable & Green Energy for EVs
    • EV Safety & Performance Monitoring
  • All submissions must include:
    • Problem statement
    • Proposed solution
    • System workflow / architecture diagram
    • Hardware/Software components used
    • Prototype/demo video
    • Code repository (if software-based)
  • Originality is mandatory — plagiarism leads to immediate disqualification.
  • Teams must attend all evaluation rounds and checkpoints.
  1. Technical Guidelines

Mandatory Technical Components

Projects must include at least one of the following:

  • EV simulation, hardware prototype, or IoT-based monitoring system
  • Smart/optimized energy usage model
  • EV route optimization, load balancing, or charging management
  • Sensors-based monitoring (BMS, temperature, speed, safety, etc.)
  • Real-time dashboard, analytics, or mobile app

Additional Technical Expectations (based on theme)

  • AI/ML–based prediction (battery health, energy usage, safety alerts)
  • Motor & controller interface simulation
  • Charging station load distribution & scheduling
  • IoT integration with cloud dashboards
  • Embedded systems or microcontroller usage (ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
  • Renewable energy integration (solar charging, hybrid systems)

Note: No prototype, video, documentation, or code is required for the prelims. Shortlisting will be based solely on the PPT.

Teams shortlisted for the final round must submit the complete project package.

  1. Event Rules
  • Teams must work strictly within the allotted hackathon hours.
  • Hardware building, wiring, soldering, testing, and integration must be done only at the venue (unless otherwise permitted).
  • Teams must bring their own components, tools, sensors, microcontrollers, batteries, and accessories.
  • Only safe, low-voltage components are allowed. High-voltage EV battery packs are not permitted.
  • Use of pre-built commercial EV kits that complete major functionality is not allowed—projects must show original hardware implementation.
  • Teams may use:
  • Microcontrollers (ESP32, Arduino, STM32, etc.)
  • Development boards (Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, etc.)
  • Small-scale motors, mini battery packs, sensors, custom PCBs, 3D-printed parts
  • Use of dangerous chemicals, high-current power supplies, or Li-ion battery packs above permitted limits is prohibited.
  • No external fabrication labs, PCB services, or external assistance during the hackathon hours.
  • External paid APIs/components/tools are not allowed unless explicitly permitted by organizers
  • Teams must maintain safe working practices at all times; violation of safety rules results in immediate disqualification.

TEAM REGISTRATION AND CONCEPT DESIGN SUBMISSION

  • No Registration fee for Concept Design Submission. 
  • Only the team leader has to register their team using the link provided in the website, team name should be unique and must not contain the institute name at any form.
  • Team Size is strictly restricted to 2 mandatory members (including team lead) from the same college/university.
  • Each Participant should be a part of a single team only. Teams having the same participant, participating in more than one team will be disqualified.
  • Entire communication will be with the team leader only.
  • The change in team members and team leader will not be entertained.
  • Submit the idea only on the relevant Themes listed below.

Note: If your team is shortlisted for the Grand Finale, each participant will be required to pay a registration fee of ₹350. This fee includes the cost of food and refreshments during the event. Further details will be communicated by the Hackathon Coordination Team.

IDEA SELECTION CRITERIA
•    Ideas will be evaluated by the specialized Startup founders, Directors and Industry Experts.

      o    Focus on any SDG Goals and Complexity
      o    Feasibility, sustainability, scale of impact, user experience, potential for future work progression and commercialization.
•    The jury members decisions are final and binding for all awards and recognitions.

•    In case of any disputes or concerns, the decision of the organizers and judging panel will be final. Any disagreements or issues should be resolved through an arbitration process outlined by the organizers.
•    Organizers reserve the right to make changes to the Hackathon rules, format, or prizes during the hackathon based on the recommendations from the jury members. Any modifications will be communicated to the participants in a clear and timely manner.
