Event Overview:

Startup Pitchfest offers participants the opportunity to pitch their startup idea to a panel of investors and business professionals. Participants should clearly communicate their business vision, target market, competitive advantage, and revenue model. The goal is to impress the panel with a well-structured and compelling pitch, showing the scalability and market potential of the startup.

Event Guidelines:

  1. Team or Individual Participation:
    • Participants can pitch individually or as part of a team (maximum team size: 6 members).
    • Teams should ensure that each member is well-prepared and involved in the pitch process.
  2. Pitch Structure:
    • Participants should structure their pitch to cover the following core aspects:
  • Problem Statement: Clearly define the problem your startup is solving.
  • Solution: Present your product/service and how it solves the problem.
  • Market Opportunity: Describe your target market, potential customers, and market size.
  • Business Model: Explain how your startup will make money (revenue model).
  • Competitive Advantage: Highlight your unique selling points (USP) and how you differentiate from competitors.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Outline how you plan to acquire customers and scale your startup.
  • Team: Introduce key team members and their expertise.
  • Financials & Funding: Briefly outline the current financial status, required funding, and how it will be utilized.
3.Pitch Duration:
    • Each participant/team will have 5-7 minutes for their pitch.
    • A Q&A session will follow, where the panel of judges will ask questions and provide feedback.
4.Presentation Format:
    • Pitches must be delivered using a PowerPoint, PDF,or similar presentation tool.
    • Visual aids like charts, graphs, and images are encouraged to make the pitch more engaging and understandable.
5.No Plagiarism:
    • The startup idea and content presented must be original. Any form of plagiarism or use of someone else’s work without credit will result in disqualification.
6.Demo or Prototype (Optional but Recommended):
    • A working prototype or product demo is optional but will add value to your pitch. If applicable, participants should showcase how the product works to reinforce its viability.

Winning Criteria:

  • The participant/team with the highest score across all judging categories will be declared the winner.
  • In case of a tie, the market opportunity and financial viability of the startup will be the deciding factors
